POSHAN ABHIYAAN KHEDA

                        POSHAN ABHIYAAN KHEDA

The “Poshan Mitra” Initiative

On December 11, 2025, the Kheda District Administration introduced the “Sahbhagita Sammati Patra” (Participation & Consent Form) as a targeted grassroots administrative drive under the POSHAN Abhiyaan (#SahiPoshanDeshRoshan).

  • Core Purpose: The initiative mobilizes government employees and officers (Karmayogis) across all departments and talukas to register as “Poshan Mitras” (પોષણમિત્ર). It transforms nutrition governance from routine official duty into personal civic participation, encouraging employees to give back to their workplace (Karmabhoomi).

  • Implementation Mechanism: Under the program “Gam no Nirdhar, Sahkar thi Sakar”—implemented in collaboration with Amul Dairy—participating staff formally pledge to celebrate personal and family milestones (such as birthdays, weddings, and festivals) by contributing nutrition support to malnourished children within the district.

  • Administrative Scope: The signed consent forms capture the employee’s name, designation, department, taluka, and contact details, establishing a structured district-level network of public servants directly supporting child health and welfare outcomes across Kheda

  • Moral & Civic Responsibility: It frames addressing malnutrition as an ethical duty and a golden opportunity to repay the debt owed to one’s land of work (Karmabhoomi).

  • Personal Contribution: Signatories formally commit as a “Poshan Mitra”. Rather than limiting their involvement to administrative oversight, employees pledge to celebrate family milestones—such as birthdays, wedding ceremonies, and other auspicious events—by directly contributing towards improving the nutritional status of children within Kheda district.
